Artful Awakenings cosmetic center was established in 2010 after Dr. Filiberto worked for 4 years at a major national surgical center in Orlando Florida. This experience took his expertise and developmental skills to a new level and he decided to open his own surgical center in historical Downtown Melbourne. During this time Dr. Filiberto has raised the bar in the plastic surgery industry.

Dr. Filiberto is board certified in facial and neck reconstructive plastic surgery. He completed his surgical residency at Mount Sinai in Miami, Florida. He has been in practice in the Melbourne and Palm Bay areas since 1985 as a board certified ears, nose, throat, head and neck reconstructive plastic surgeon. Dr. Filiberto specializes in rhinoplasty, upper and lower eye lifts, face, and neck lifts. He has had the honor of teaching major corporate doctors special techniques in face and eye lift surgery. Dr. Filiberto was awarded #1 in patient satisfaction in 2008 and 2009 after performing over 1000 facelifts for a major national plastic surgery company located in Orlando, Florida. He has since then opened his own surgery center in Downtown Melbourne, Florida.

Aside from Dr. Filiberto, our office staff consists of Lucy Williams, Jason Goodwin and many more. All of the staff at Artful Awakenings are extremely professional and courteous. Our Service

Our service to you as the patient is to assure your comfort level and prepare you with complete before and after instructions for your choice of surgery. We never use a general anesthesia. (being put to sleep with a paralyzing drug and a breathing machine)].) Instead we use a sedation which relaxes you completely and makes you feel very calm before your surgery begins. Surgeries are performed with local anesthesia which numbs the areas being treated and most of our patients sleep peacefully and relaxed during the procedure. We make sure you have a caregiver with you who is also instructed on your aftercare for the first 24 to 48 hours after surgery. Most people prefer a relative for this, but we can help provide a caregiver if you need one.

Dr. Filiberto has great expertise and experience in all types of plastic surgery. He has accomplished many makeovers for men and women with body sculpting, fat transfers and implants for breast, pectoral, buttocks, chins, and noses. He has changed peoples lives with giving them confidence by getting rid of flappy under arms, turkey necks, big ears, thin lips,large beak noses, baggy eyes, deep wrinkles, belly fat, sagging breasts, saddle thighs, and many other embarrassing body images which may stop you from becoming the person you feel inside. You can look as young as you feel!

Our less invasive treatments which can take 5 to 10 years off your face include Botox,  Juvaderm and other dermal fillers, as well as, Dr. Filiberto's personal favorite, the phenol chemical peel. This peel gets down into the dermal layers of the skin and sloughs away years of sun and environmental skin damage. Your new skin reappears after about a week and continues to regenerate itself by rebuilding collagen over the next 6 months to a year. This procedure is hands down the winner and most cost effective treatment we have for a non-invasive facial treatment that truly works.
