Meet Dr. Frank Filiberto
Dr. Filiberto began his medical education by obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees from St. John's University in Jamaica, N.Y. He earned a medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and then became a medical doctor at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia (now know as Drexel University) in 1976.
He then completed a General Surgery internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, and an Otolaryngology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Filiberto is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as a head and neck, facial plastic surgeon.
He has served as vice chief of staff at Humana Hospital in Sebastian, Fla., president of the American College of Ringside Physicians and chief physician for the Florida Amateur Boxing Association. He served as doctor for the United Sates Boxing Team for the Beijing Olympics and is the only two-time recipient of Nation Physician of the Year, award by U.S. Olympic Boxing.
Dr. Filiberto and his wonderful wife Chris have two great kids in college. He enjoys coaching basketball and boxing, helping to get underprivileged youth off the streets and into competition.
